Nigeria Food Bank (NFB) is a grassroots non-governmental organization that has grown from a small community initiative into a nationwide movement fighting hunger and food insecurity across Nigeria. Founded in 2018, we are driven by a clear purpose: to ensure no Nigerian goes to bed hungry.
Our approach is holistic and sustainable - not just providing emergency food relief, but building systems that create long-term food security in vulnerable communities. We focus especially on children and women, who often face the harshest consequences of food insecurity.
We partner with local farmers to source nutritious food, supporting local economies while reducing hunger.
We believe in giving communities the tools to achieve sustainable food security for themselves.
We collect non-perishable food items from partners, donors, and food drives, then ensure they reach those who need them most through our distribution network that spans rural and urban communities.
Our school feeding programs and nutrition initiatives specifically target children, ensuring they have the nourishment needed for healthy development and educational success.
We empower women through food security initiatives, agricultural training, and microenterprise opportunities that help them feed their families and contribute to community resilience.
